The fans felt as though Slim Thug a rapper who literally has Houston tattooed on his back has forsaken his city asking him "Why do you always leave the city when times get rough"? Many fans compared him to Trae the Truth a Rapper turned activist from Missouri City a small province on the outskirts of Houston. Many supports of his career from his fan-based feel as though he "Ted Cruzed" them by leaving when the storm came. Slim went as far as to tell them that he experienced damage to his brand new home in Pearland Texas another neighboring city on the outskirts of the city, needless to say, the fans were not trying to hear all that.
