Cardi B said that she and fellow collaborators Rita Ora, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha did not have "bad intentions" when making the song, which has drawn criticism from some for being "harmful" to the LGBTQ community. The rapper also issued an apology for her past use of offensive language.
